Brief

To create a brand identity for a new type museum called ‘Type Factory’. To attract students and designers but also to encourage children into learning about type.

Solution

The logo is inspired by the CMYK process colour scheme and the pixels that form digital typefaces. The identity is applied to business cards, promotional badges as well, as posters advertising the opening and all forthcoming exhibits. The commemorative set of badges uses the colours and shapes from the museum logo so that people can collect them and create their very own typefaces. For the business card design, the initials would be laser cut out of the card with a colour pattern behind it, which pulls out to replicate the pattern from the logo.
