Macmillan icons

Brief

Create a range of icons that fit in the rest of Macmillan’s brand assets.

Solution

To create icons that not only fit in but feel like they are from Macmillan, I used Macmillan’s Headline font. To keep the playfulness of the font, the icons needed to work just as well. This meant that they had to chunky and very simple in design to work small. This allowed the brand to work in ways that the other brand assets couldn’t, by being used to highlight key information in documents and in infographics to represent information better.
