Vote for Sir Ranulph Fiennes

(Typography)

Brief

An external brief set by True North - to design a set of political posters for anyone of my choosing to be
Prime Minister of Great Britain.

Solution

I picked Sir Ranulph Fiennes who is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as “the greatest living explorer”.
Upon discovering that he ran 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents. I focused on this fact and developed
a typeface using sections from each of the 7 marathon routes - which I applied to 3 posters. The themes
of each poster represent some of his achievements; first man to travel to both North and South Pole across
the Earth’s Polar Axis, climbing to within 300ft of the summit of Mount Everest and 7 marathons.
